| VistaPHw Download and Contact Site
VistaPHw is a browser-independent web application that computes rates and other statistics for community health assessment. The application consists of two programs, VistaPHw.Exe running on desktop PCs with MS Windows 95+ or Windows XP, and precompiled calculation software running on web servers under IIS. Once downloaded and installed, VistaPHw.Exe provides the user interface for the web application, and communicates with calculation software on web servers using an invisible browser embedded within it. For a taste of what VistaPHw can do, we provide contrived demo data stored on this website. Downloading VistaPHw and double-clicking the blue sailboat icon on your desktop will allow users to calculate rates based on this fake data. VistaPHw is currently used for community health assessment in Washington and Oregon. To view local data, contact the Washington or Oregon statewide Vista coordinator.VistaPHw typically uses Microsoft Excel to output data rates, but users can output to a grid. New features include a mapping function, which uses the free Adobe SVG viewer, and needs to be downloaded by users. Click to download the SVG viewer. The interactive graph function is based on MS Excel options, and computers must have MS Excel installed for the graphing function to work properly.
